North Yorkshire Open Studios 2023

Over 140 artists open their doors this summer for one of the biggest open studio events in the UK.
Stretching from the coast to the moors, dales, and beyond, North Yorkshire’s artistic community invites the public to take a peek inside their studios this summer.
The open studio event is on the first two weekends of June: 3-4 and 10-11 June, 2023.
It offers the public an exciting chance to discover works from emerging and established artists in the region.
The open studio event is organised by the artist-run collective, North Yorkshire Open Studios (NYOS), a not-for-profit community that works to support the hundreds of painters, sculptors, print-makers, jewellers, ceramicists, photographers and creatives who live and work in North Yorkshire.  Details of all the artists taking part can be found at : www.nyos.org.uk

I’ll be taking part from Wold Pottery gallery in Loftus, with Jill Christie, a highly skilled potter specialising in hand-thrown domestic earthenware. There is an article in Yorkshire Life about the Open Studios, I’m so pleased they chose one of my paintings to illustrate it! That painting “White Sun” (Whitby beach) will be exhibited in Wold Pottery. I hope to see you there!

PS. 6 June. The first weekend of the NY Open Studios went well, thank you to those who came to see us. And someone fell in love with “White Sun” so it has found a home (that it is the home of a talented mosaic artist is simply wonderful). For those others who might also love this image, I have standard A4 prints (£12.50) and a few A1 prints (£50) available.
